Painting/Printmaking (MFA)

The Master of Fine Arts in Painting/Printmaking is a rigorous, studio-centered graduate program dedicated to the advancement of contemporary artistic practice through sustained inquiry in material, form, and concept. Rooted in experimentation and critical dialogue, the program supports the development of a distinct visual language within painting, printmaking, or a hybrid of both disciplines. Students engage deeply with surface, process, scale, color, and mark-making while exploring the conceptual frameworks that shape contemporary art discourse.

The curriculum emphasizes intensive studio production alongside graduate seminars in art theory, history, and criticism. Through individual critiques, group reviews, and visiting artist engagements, students refine their work within a dynamic intellectual community.
